SportAccord 2024
Brief
The SportAccord World Sport & Business Summit is the world’s premier and most exclusive annual event for the service of sport. It enables global business leaders and host cities to connect with all the International Federations, their stakeholders and the International Olympic Committee in one location.
MIH Major Events was appointed as a Host City Official Supplier for SportAccord 2024, held in Birmingham, West Midlands.
As the operational planning and delivery lead, the team at MIH oversaw the overall event operations, project managing for the LOC. Leading on Operations, Venue Management, Host City Integration, Workforce and Volunteers, Travel and Transport, and Health & Safety.
As co-chair of the LOC, the Senior Leadership team at MIH also acted as an integrated member of the Executive Steering Group.
Bringing together our experienced team of 12 people, MIH ensured a hugely successful outcome for the 1700+ high-level sports and international federation delegates, fostering great networking opportunities, and delivering an event celebrated for its successful execution and overall operational excellence.
We partnered with Birmingham City Council, West Midland Growth Company, Transport for West Midlands, The International Convention Centre Birmingham and many other key stakeholders across the West Midlands to achieve these outstanding results.
