Host City Operations

Brief

As senior management of the Host City operations, leading integrated teams to ensure successful delivery within half the normal planning period and during a Global pandemic.

Responsibilities included integrating core partnerships, internal workstreams, and leading on the Host City Operation during the Games, creating a hugely successful collaborative delivery model.

Outcomes

Strong city dressing programme consisting of 7 x large building wraps, 15 x bridge treatments, 40 x vacant shop windows.

172 km route planning, travelling across all 10 parliamentary constituencies of Birmingham Queens Baton Relay.

Set up and strategic management of the city event control room which directly linked into the wider games C3 structure. Zone Ex was directly controlled from this operating centre.
